The first season of this series briefly covers the books of Genesis through Revelation in a single narrative divided into five parts, each explaining three stories from the Bible: the Exodus, Noah’s Ark, and the birth, death, and subsequent resurrection of Jesus Christ. Some belong to the Old Testament and others to the New Testament.
SEASON 2
The second season is based on the Acts of the Apostles, a book of the New Testament. It begins with the crucifixion and death of Jesus and the problems the Governor of Judea faces due to civil unrest and the rumor that Christ has risen. Peter and the other apostles are arrested on the orders of the high priest Caiaphas with the approval of Pontius Pilate. For the small group of Christ’s followers, each day is a struggle for survival, so the mission the Messiah entrusted to them—to spread his message throughout the world—seems impossible. However, they maintain their faith and will soon have the power to accomplish it: not only the astonishing miracle of the Resurrection, but also the supernatural appearance of the Holy Spirit, who grants them the gift of tongues, will facilitate their task.
