– ENG. SUBTITLES –
The “Life of Job” recounts the story of this man so well known for his suffering, but it begins where few notice: in his youth. This is to understand how blameless, upright, and God-fearing he was, and how he turned away from evil (Job 1:1). But perhaps the greatest treasure of his story is this: understanding the role of injustice in the lives of those who fear God. Understanding that it is not merit that frees us from suffering, but rather that through suffering, we are revealed. In the face of pain, we discover who we truly are. And, like Job, we recognize: “I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees you.”
